Sotwe Profile Saver is an independent Chrome extension for saving a local archive of profile information and posts that Sotwe makes available. It is not affiliated with Sotwe, X, or their owners.
When you ask the extension to save a profile, it requests Sotwe's available profile data, tweets, replies, quotes, reposts, timestamps, conversation context, raw page responses, and media links. Profile names and public post content can include personal information. The extension uses this information only to create the archive that you request, show your progress, and create downloadable ZIP files.
Archived posts, metadata, and resume settings are stored in the browser's local IndexedDB. Raw API response pages are stored in the browser's Origin Private File System (OPFS). The information remains on your device unless you explicitly export a ZIP. Downloaded ZIP files are saved to the location you choose. The extension publisher does not receive copies of the archive.
The extension uses an open Sotwe browser tab to request information from Sotwe over HTTPS. Chrome may send your existing site cookies as part of those ordinary requests. The extension's code does not read, copy, or export cookie values. It does not ask for passwords or perform browser verification on your behalf. Sotwe and its infrastructure providers can process requests according to their own policies.
The extension does not have a publisher-operated collection endpoint, tracking service, advertising SDK, or analytics service. It does not sell, rent, or transmit the saved archive to the publisher or to other data brokers. You control whether to share a ZIP file after saving it.
Saved archives are kept on your device until you delete the saved profile within the extension, uninstall the extension, or clear the relevant Chrome browser storage. Deleting a profile removes its IndexedDB and OPFS records, but does not delete ZIP files you already downloaded. Removing or reinstalling the extension can lose private storage, so save an export first.
Local archive storage is managed by Chrome and subject to your device's security and available disk space. This extension does not claim to encrypt all stored data. Downloaded ZIP files are not encrypted. The extension only saves results returned by Sotwe; there is no guarantee that every historical post will be available.
The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data handled by this extension is limited to providing the user-requested local archive feature and is not used for targeted advertising or unrelated profiling.
